How UVM is governed.
The Board of Trustees holds ultimate legal authority. The President reports to the Board; everyone else reports to the President or, for academic affairs, to the Provost. Shared-governance bodies (Faculty Senate, Staff Council, SGA, GSS) advise the President and sit non-voting on the Board's Executive Committee.
